Marldon Service Station the flagship site in the portfolio

Jet been selected as the fuel supplier for a group of forecourts in Devon, some 13 years after they left the brand.

Cox of Torbay operates four filling stations in Paignton, Marldon, Newton Abbot, and Torquay, and while the forecourts used to sport Jet fascias and take fuel from the Phillips 66 owned brand, back in 2013 they departed for a rival supplier, only to return again this year.

The catalyst for the reunion was Prax, or rather its demise, and the disruption to fuel supply that brought.

Nick Cox, owner of the four-site portfolio, was reacquainted with his former supplier when Jet stepped in to fill the gaps in his tanks left by Prax-owned Harvest Energy, with a formal re-signing following in July this year.

Cox describes Jet as “a brand we know and trust that never let us down in the past”, while Alex Keating, retail account manager with Phillips 66, calls Cox’s return to the Jet fold “a significant moment” for the brand, which now adorns 335 dealer sites and a further 11 company-owned ones.

The four Cox forecourts comprise Marldon Service Station, which features a vehicle workshop and Budgens store, together with Aller Vale Service Station in Kingskerswell, Newton Abbot; Waterside Service Station in Paignton; and Glendower Service Station in Torquay.
