Goole-based family business Jos Richardson & Son has re-opened Longs Corner Service Station in Howden, Yorkshire, bringing its network of sites up to five.
The company purchased the site in November 2011, and has spent the past three months re-developing it into a much larger BP filling station and Spar convenience store.
Director Joseph Richardson said: “The Howden site is an ideal addition to our business. It fits perfectly with our growth plans of acquiring fuel stations and convenience stores which we can develop over time.
“Longs Corner Garage was a well established local business with lots of opportunity to expand. We bought the site with the intention of re-developing it into larger fuel forecourt and convenience store.
“The location of the site means it benefits from the proximity to the local community, commuter traffic and people going to the East Coast,” he added. “We look forward providing Howden and surrounding areas with the exceptional customer service we are known for.”
The Richardsons will hold a launch weekend on April 14-15, with promotions on fuel and in-store, as well as giveaways and the chance to enter competitions for a supermarket sweep and Olympic tickets.
