The Kay Group has signed a deal with Valero for the Texaco brand to supply its latest new- build forecourt, which is due to open next month
Top 50 indie The Kay Group has been at the forefront of developing new-build sites on Brownfield land, with three new-to-industry schemes under development, and Junction 13 at Nelson, Lancashire, is the first to open.
Ken Kay, owner and CEO of the Kay Group, said: "We believe that the way forward for fuel retail is to offer customers a quality service tailored to their needs, and we can best achieve that by offering them state-of-the-art forecourts selling quality fuel, with big retail brands that drive traffic to our sites.
"We already work with Valero at 11 of our sites and have built an excellent relationship with them, so it was an easy decision to supply Texaco-branded fuel at our latest new-build site that will open in Nelson in May."
Andrew Cox, Valero’s director, sales and marketing, added: "Valero is delighted to be working with innovative and progressive retailers like The Kay Group as part of our continuing success gaining more sites for the Texaco brand."
The site will be supplied by Valero’s Manchester Terminal, which receives supply directly from its refinery in Pembroke, South Wales.
