Cheshire Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a a petrol station in Runcorn.
The incident occurred at the petrol station on Victoria Road, Runcorn, at approximately 7pm on Tuesday 22nd December.
A man went to the counter where he threatened a member of staff with a knife and demanded money from the till. The offender then left the premises and made off on a push bike.
He is described as of slim build, approximately 5’8”. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black scarf or neck-warmer, a black woollen beanie type hat, a blue pullover jumper and dark blue tracksuit bottoms.
Investigating officer detective constable Katie Wardle said: “Thankfully no one was injured in this incident, however, Cheshire Police take such incidents very seriously.
“I’d like to appeal to the public if anyone was in the area of the petrol station around 7pm last night to come forward and speak to me.”
