Lancashire police has released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to following a knifepoint robbery at a service station.

At around 9.30pm on Sunday (November 14), a lone man has entered CS Service Station, known locally as Mr C’s, on Helmshore Road, Haslingden, with a large kitchen knife and demanded money.

He handed over a blue Tesco bag for the cash to be put in and made off with approximately £230.

He was last seen in an alleyway between Deardengate Croft and Deardengate after a member of the public gave chase.

A police spokesman said: “The victim in this case was simply at work doing his job when he was nastily threatened with a large knife. He is understandably shaken by this incident."

“We are very keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who have information about this incident. Similarly, if you recognise the man pictured, please get in touch.”

The offender is described as male, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood, black gloves, black hat and blue jeans.
