Work is under way on a £2.5m development that will give Louth in Lincolnshire its third petrol station.

According to the local newpaper, Louth Leader, Shell has been confirmed as the fuel supplier and there will be a Spar-branded convenience store, all due to open in the autumn.

Planning permission was originally granted in 2010 and BP was named as fuel supplier but that has since changed.

The finished project could result in as many as 40 jobs created – both full and part-time.
