The Maxol Group has launched its 2015 Wash for Wishes carwash fundraising campaign, as part of the company’s charity partnership with Make-A-Wish UK.
Wash for Wishes Carwash Week runs until Wednesday 7th October, and Maxol aims to surpass the £7,500 figure raised previously.
It is encouraging motorists to use Maxol carwash facilities at participating service stations in the knowledge that £1 from every carwash will be donated directly to Make-A-Wish UK to help grant the wish of a child in the UK with a life-threatening medical condition.
Speaking at the launch, Maxol’s group brand development manager Fergal Harrington commented: “Maxol is proud to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as the company’s ongoing charity partner for 2015. To date we are delighted to say we have raised £120,000 for the foundation.
“The generosity of our customers is always phenomenal and Wash for Wishes continues to be one of our key campaigns for the charity. We want to stress that every donation made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation goes towards helping those who need it most.”
Jason Suckley, CEO of Make-A-Wish UK, said: “Thank you to Maxol and its customers for supporting Make-A-Wish UK through Maxol’s Wash for Wishes carwash week. The fantastic effort from this fundraiser will help grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of some of the most deserving children and young people across the UK. We want to grant the wishes of over 1,000 seriously ill children this year and funds raised this week will help us achieve this.”
Participating service stations are listed on Maxol’s website and are displaying Wash for Wishes advertisements on their forecourts.
