Moto Hospitality Limited is claiming to be the first motorway services operator to offer AdBlue available from the pump at 20 of its HGV forecourts across the UK.
Moto installed the first of its 20 bulk AdBlue dispensers in October 2009 at Chieveley and Wetherby Service stations, and by the end of 2011 15 Moto UK forecourts were dispensing AdBlue from the pump.
Among Moto’s sites that offer Air1 at the pump, is Lymm truckstop, one of the largest truckstops in the UK. The site is located at the junction of the M56 and the M6 in Cheshire, and has the benefit of access from local trunk roads, as well as the two motorways. This site offers AdBlue from six double-sided pumps, making it one of the largest forecourt installations in the UK Air1 network.
More recently, due to the success in sales at its current sites and the growing usage of AdBlue in the UK truck market, Moto decided to commit a further five of its network of service stations to supplying the product – Lancaster North and South Services, Birch East and West Services and Hilton Park North Services, bringing the total to 20 sites.
“We like to make life easier for truck drivers and, since the success of our first sites offering AdBlue in 2009, it seemed only natural to respond to the demand for AdBlue at the pump and to get more of our sites equipped," said Tim Gittins, Moto retail director. "This decision is certainly looking like the right move as we are experiencing more growth and look forward to working with Air1 in the future.”
A full list of all Moto sites that dispense AdBlue from Air1 at the pump is available on the Air1 App.
