MRH Retail’s new store brand Hursts has been rolled out to 35 stores since three pilot stores were successfully launched in March, managing director John Lynn has told Forecourt Trader, with 100 sites expected by Spring 2014.
The stores feature a new external fascia, intended to visually demonstrate core store offerings, highlighting features and services found inside, such as paying a bill, food and drink on the go, and picking up or sending a parcel. The store interiors receive new signage with bright vibrant graphics.
Lynn said the aim was to create a new brand image that can be adjusted to meet the needs of each individual store, but creates a coherent store identity across its entire estate
‘Hursts’ is derived from the company’s historical corporate name, Malthurst, in order to reflect its long established business.
The Hursts’ brand development will be in addition to the convenience store programme that MRH has developed with Spar.
