The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) has announced the appointment of Richard Chadderton as the new head of petrol for the PRA. He commenced the role on Monday 8 July and will be based at the London head office in Great Portland Street.
Chadderton has more than 30 years experience of the UK petrol retail market having worked for both independent and oil company businesses. These have included privately owned retailers, motorway service areas and the merging activities of Elf, Fina and Total, with Rontec being his most recent position.
The RMI said: “With knowledge of investment, site re-builds, property services, supply & logistics, pricing, contract management, forecourt operation and dealer relationships there are few areas of this complex industry which have not benefited from his deep-rooted experience.
“The PRA has seen rapid growth of membership since 2010 under chairman Brian Madderson and Richard’s important supporting role will initially focus on reviewing the member benefits available to retailers, developing the PRA website to provide comprehensive inter-active information and building good relationships with existing and new members."
