BP’s Wild Bean Café format was quietly re-launched this week as the oil giant unveiled its new partnership with M&S Simply Food at its forecourt in Hammersmith.

At the opening event for the Simply Food trial - which will be rolled out at eight UK sites - Graham Sims, retail director of BP, said the company’s coffee shop offer had also been re-branded.

“This is the world launch of Wild Bean Café,” he said. “It’s a soft launch, but we’ll use this in America, Australia and everywhere else from now on.”

Meanwhile the partnership with M&S Simply Food - which, if successful, could be rolled out to all BP Connect sites - will see a selected range of Mark’s & Spencer’s fresh food, ready meals, sandwiches, wine, flowers and basic groceries being sold alongside multi-branded impulse goods.
