Motorists in Thaxted were celebrating this week following the arrival of a new, state-of-the-art car wash at the town’s

main high street service station.

Craig Reynolds, manager of the Saracens filling station in Thaxted High Street, Essex, switched on the new Aquarama Stargate S5 before an appreciative audience of local residents and motorists weary of cleaning their cars with buckets and sponges while awaiting the arrival of the latest car wash.

According to the station’s owner and managing director, Kim Cowell, the Saracens filling station had been looking for a new car wash machine as the existing machine had been damaged beyond repair.

“We looked around at the various alternatives and we found the Aquarama Stargate S5 offered the best combination of price, features, and quality of wash," he said. "We originally considered using another local supplier but they were simply no match for Car Wash UK, the distributor for the Aquarama Stargate range of machines, for the quality of service they provided. We were impressed with Car Wash UK and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.  So we went with the Aquarama Stargate,” added Kim.

Car Wash UK’s head of sales and marketing, Colin Russell, remarked: “This is the first Aquarama Stargate S5 to be imported into the UK and we are looking forward to seeing the improved performance from the new machine during the coming months. It is a very reliable, good looking and economical machine from an environmental point of view.”

Based in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, Car Wash UK is the sole UK agent for Aquarama Stargate car wash systems. The company maintains over 1,000 installations, from Truro to Inverness, many of which are owned by major clients including Shell Oil UK, BP Oil UK, Murco, Tesco, Somerfield, Malthurst, Police authorities and other major operators and utility companies.
