Police are investigating after a Nottingham forecourt was burgled twice in two nights – just four days after the site opened.

Police said a silver or grey VW Golf was used in both break-ins at the Lenton Boulevard Service Station in Lenton Boulevard, Lenton.

In the first incident – overnight between 9.20pm on Monday September 19 and 6am on Tuesday September 20 – suspects forced their way through a door. They searched the petrol station but it is not yet known whether anything was taken. They were wearing hoodies and tracksuit bottoms.

In the second incident – between 11pm on Tuesday September 20 and 5.45am on Wednesday September 21 suspects again forced entry and this time stock was definitely stolen, including tobacco, e-cigarettes and confectionery.

Police said CCTV is still being reviewed but it is believed the same suspects were involved in both incidents.
