Certas chooses Londis
Certas Energy has announced a preferred supplier arrangement with Londis that will provide Certas-supplied filling stations with a fast track to Londis for expert business advice and consultancy as they look to grow revenues. "We see this as a very positive addition to the range of benefits already available to our dealers," said Ramsay MacDonald, retail director, Certas Energy.
Diesel theft info sought
Police are appealing for information after more than £10,000-worth of diesel was stolen from a forecourt in Norfolk. Between 7am on Thursday 5 December and 7am on Wednesday 11 December 2013 approximately 7,800 litres of diesel were taken from a tank at the Martin Service Station on the A140, Cromer Road in Erpingham.
More tobacco laws
The EU has agreed a revised tobacco directive intended to make tobacco products less attractive. Measures to be brought into national law by member states include a ban on packs of 10 cigarettes and smaller pouches of tobacco; flavours such as menthol will be outlawed; and a combined picture and health warning will have to cover 65% of the front and the back of packets.
A Welcome to Subway
Motorway service operator Welcome Break has announced a partnership deal with Subway, with stores opened at Welcome Break Charnock Richard Services on the M6 and at the Welcome Break Woodall Services outside of Sheffield.
Commitment to gas
Supporters of low carbon vehicles have welcomed a long-term commitment from the government to maintain the differential between the main rate of fuel duty and the rate for road fuel gases such as liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas.
