Certas Energy has moved from its regional office in Egham, Surrey, to The Switch, a newly refurbished suite of offices situated in Slough. Certas Energy becomes the first company to sign up with this nine-storey landmark which has undergone an extensive refurbishment, including a remodelled reception and entrance canopy.
Appointment at Jet
Phillips 66 has appointed Mark Todd to the role of national sales manager for its UK & Ireland marketing division. He takes over the role from Emma McKim, who is moving to an internal role in London.
New Spar at Roadchef
Roadchef has opened a new Spar store at its Tibshelf motorway services area (MSA) on the M1 between junctions 28 and 29, following an investment of £800,000. The addition of a Spar to the Tibshelf MSA follows openings at the company’s Sedgemoor, Northampton and Strensham sites in recent months.
Tesla to sever links
Tesla is reported to be working on plans to sever the last links between filling stations and customers who own its electric cars. Owners can already charge their cars at home, removing the need to refuel at filling stations, and now, according to US website Electrek, it is trialling a mobile car wash service that would cut filling stations out of its customers’ lives entirely.
Thieves blow up ATM
Thieves have blown up a cash machine on a forecourt in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The freestanding unit at the Texaco garage in Rishton Lane, Great Lever, was targeted at around 1.30am on Tuesday, August 30. Eyewitnesses describe hearing a loud bang and offenders fleeing the scene following the incident.
