Key distributors and oil company executives will be out in force at the inaugural launch of UNITI expo, according to the organisers of the new European convention for the petroleum retail sector.
The exhibition opens in Stuttgart, Germany from June 3-5, and aims to unite all core and peripheral aspects of the industry under one roof for the first time.
Most pleasing, say the organisers, has been the oil company registrations so far received from countries outside Europe, which include those from The Philippines, The United Arab Emirates, Israel, The Lebanon, Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia. In addition, the list of international distributors, installers and maintenance companies is growing every day, with 24 countries now represented.
Other news concerns the announcement of the International Forum at UNITI expo, with the retail petroleum programme being organised by the APEA. This includes presentations from Mark Rosling, European Asset Manager for BP, talking about the European market and the changes we can expect in the future. Bob Renkes, Executive Director of the PEI, is to speak on ‘The Bio fuels experience in the US’. Dr Oliver Storz, Head of the injection systems and operating fluids department at Mercedes- Benz, will discuss SCR/AdBlue technology, as it becomes a reality in passenger cars and from Shell, Lars Zimmerman, who is one of the leading experts in his field, will present a case study focusing on the design and operation of hydrogen fuelling stations in Europe and the US. The international Forum will run approximately from 13.30 to 16.00 and all sessions can be booked on site. There is no registration fee for any of the APEA sessions.
With over 35,000 square metres of exhibition and conference space, the organisers say that if you are an oil company, major independent retailer, a distributor, installer or service company around the world and have still not signed up to attend UNITI expo, visit the official web site and register today. Online registration is free.
