xecutives have been appointed to leading roles by two Top 50 Indies. MRH (GB) announced the appointment of Karen Dickens as chief executive officer of the company with effect from March 1, 2016.

Karen previously held a number of senior managerial positions within ExxonMobil Corporation. Graham Peacock, former chief executive officer and a founder shareholder of MRH, stepped down from the role on February 29, after a 48-year career in the fuel retailing industry.

The appointment follows the takeover of MRH number one in the Forecourt Trader Top 50 Indies by US private equity firm Lone Star last month.

Graham said: "I am delighted to be handing over my responsibilities to someone of the calibre of Karen... her appointment is a real statement of intent by Lone Star that the company is to continue its programme of dynamic growth in the future."

Meanwhile former BP retail director Graham Sims has been appointed non-executive chairman of HKS Holdings to lead a new accelerated investment, growth and development strategy.
