P&C Services, which provides a wide range of services to the forecourt sector, has taken on a site as a testing ground for new products and for demonstrating its range to customers.
The company has taken a five-year lease on a site at Kegworth, Leicestershire, from Top 50 Indie Platinum, which includes a store of about 1,800sq ft.
P&C managing director Richard Quarmby said they aimed to increase volume at the site from around 2mlpa to 4mlpa over an 18-month period.
The site was previously unbranded, and is being refurbished before opening with BP branding at the end of the month.
It has been resurfaced with new pipework and dispensers and has an agreement to open a Local Post Office in the store.
Quarmby said the site would be used to test new concepts before P&C launches them on the market and would also enable the company to demonstrate its services to customers.
An experienced manager has been brought in to run the site.
Sales director Steve Watts said the site would also provide the P&C team with a better understanding of the issues involved in running a petrol station and c-store.
P&C provides a wide range of services to the forecourt sector and earlier this year became an Oracle Gold Partner, supporting more than 150 sites using Oracle software.
