Top 50 Indie Petrogas has signed a 20-year lease agreement to operate former Forecourt Trader of the Year Jonathan James’ two sites in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.

Slade End Service Station has already been rebranded Applegreen and is due to have the existing Spar convenience store converted into an Applegreen Shop, while West Park Street Service Station will remain BP-branded in accordance with the BP solus agreement.

Michael O’Loughlin, managing director of Petrogras, said: “We have got two fantastic sites in a great location, which fit into our network perfectly geographically.

“I have known Jonathan for a long time and because of that familiarity I’ve never done such a straight-forward deal as this.”
