Leicestershire Police have released CCTV image of a suspect they want to question in relation to attempted armed robbery at a forecourt shop.
At around 9.15pm on Saturday 31 October, a man entered the Brobot Petroleum site in Thorpe Road, Melton Mowbray. He demanded cash and threatened a member of staff with a knife.
He left empty handed when the alarm sounded. The staff member was not injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as white, slim build, 5ft 8”, wearing industrial type gloves and silver-rimmed Aviator style glasses with reflective lenses, a black Parker style coat which had a tatty looking fur-edged hood, worn up, and a distinctive emblem on the front. A dark coloured scarf covered his face.
He was seen loitering outside prior to entering. Officers are hoping that someone may have seen the suspect hanging around outside, knows who was responsible or recognises the description of the coat.
