Police in Leeds have this week released CCTV stills following a robbery at the Shell Filling Station on Wakefield Road, Stourton.
Detective constable Darren Young, from Leeds District CID, said: “The incident occurred in the early hours of Good Friday (3 April) when two male suspects, who were both wearing face coverings, entered the store and threatened two members of staff with a hammer before stealing cash from the till and a large amount of cigarettes.
“Both men left the scene in a 5-door, old-style Ford Fiesta, which was driven by an accomplice, and last seen leaving the area in the direction of the motorway.
“Fortunately, no one was injured in the robbery but the staff were left shaken by the incident.
“I would appeal to any members of the public who may recognise the silver coloured Ford Fiesta or who have any information that may assist the investigation to contact police.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds District CID via: 101 and quoting crime reference number: 13150131576.
