Rontec’s Shop’ N Drive chain is aiming to raise up to £1m for the national sight loss charity RNIB after it chose it as its first-ever charity of the year.
The money will be raised by customers, in a scheme which allows them to ’top up’ their credit or debit card transaction.
The Top 50 Indies’ 160 Shop’ N Drive stores give motorists the option to make a 25p donation when paying. So far more than £100,000 has been raised as part of the ’Round it Up’ appeal which is being delivered by ’digital charity box’ Pennies. It is the first time that Pennies has been run at a petrol station
