A would-be robber tried to steal from a Dagenham forecourt store armed with a can of Red Bull.

According to a report in The Sun, which includes CCTV images of the incident, the man jumped over the counter then used the can to hit the forecourt assistant around the head. After a brief struggle the robber trid to raid the till but could not open it. The failed thief then jumped back over the counter and ran out of the store.

The Sun reported that Met Police were still investigating after the failed robbery in Dagenham on September 2. Officers have asked for the public’s support in finding the suspect who they say is white, of slim build, is in his late teens, and has blonde hair. He was wearing a black “Raiders” cap and was carrying a black bag.
