A robbery at a service in Runcorn, Cheshire, is being investigated by police.
At 6.40am on Monday 29 February, police were called to the Shell Garage in Hallwood Link Road in Runcorn.
A man had entered the garage and threatened a member of staff with what appeared to be a machete and tied him up. He then left the store with an amount of cash.
The man was wearing a hi-viz coat, dark trousers and a dark coloured helmet.
Detective inspector Mike Evans said: “This was a shocking offence against a lone worker. Thankfully he was not injured, but he was left very shaken by his ordeal.
“I would ask anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area, or who has any information to contact us. Likewise anyone who has heard anyone talking about the offence should contact us.”
