A cashier has been left badly shaken after a gang of robbers smashed their way into a Lancashire forecourt shop and stole cigarettes.
Detectives say they are hunting for four men after the attack at Ansdell Service Station, in Church Road, St Annes, on Tuesday June 7.
Detective constable Duncan Worsley said officers are following several lines of enquiry.
The gang wore masks over their faces and spoke with Merseyside accents and struck as the cashier, who was working alone, was cashing up for the night.
They smashed their way in through a glass door before stealing £330 of Lambert and Butler Silver, and red Sterling cigarettes.
Police believe a man and woman walking past during the robbery, at 10.34pm, may hold vital information.
Detective constable Worsley said: “We are appealing for information from anyone in the vicinity at that time, that could lead to us tracing these offenders.”
