Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a petrol station in Newcastle.
It happened at 10.07pm on Friday, November 21, at Sainsbury’s Filling Station on Etherstone Avenue.
Two men entered the premises and threatened staff. They stole an undisclosed quantity of cash and left on foot going towards the Coast Road .
One was armed with a knife, both were wearing balaclavas and dark coloured clothing. No one was injured during the incident but staff were shocked by the robbery.
Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact them.
