Kenworth Ltd, a family-run forecourt operation and an early adopter of Nisa as a fuel brand with Greenergy-supplied fuel, has reported a dramatic rise in fuel and shop sales at two of its sites in the North East.
Wheatley Hill Service Station, County Durham, switched from Jet to Nisa in November 2013. In the 12 months since then it has experienced a 75% increase in fuel volumes and 30% increase in shop sales.
Beacon Service Station, North Yorkshire, moved from Jet to Nisa in July 2014. From July to November 2014 it achieved a 52% increase in fuel volumes and 60% increase in shop sales compared with the previous four months.
Joan Raw, director of Kenworth Ltd, said: "The combination of the Nisa branding and shop, and Greenergy’s competitive fuel pricing, has completely transformed our business, allowing a small business like us to compete with major supermarkets on both price and convenience.
"We’re now starting to look at the possibility of buying new sites to further grow our business."
The Nisa forecourt package, in which Greenergy supplies the fuel, was launched in mid 2013. Nisa is one of four fuel brand choices offered by Greenergy, the UK’s largest supplier of petrol and diesel. Other brand options include Esso, ST1 and own brand.
