Staff from Top 50 Indie Sewell Retail are taking part in a skydive on Sunday July 31 to raise money for Peace One Day.
The activity is taking place at the Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury, Wiltshire. In all, 32 Peace One Day supporters will be taking part. Sewell Retail’s operations manager David Craven-Jones, and people and operations manager Quentin Wilson, will be among them.
David explains: “I have done a few crazy things in my short life so I am really looking forward to this one! One of my chosen charities is Peace One Day which, to be honest, is a fantastic cause and in everyone’s dreams, I guess.”
Peace One Day was adopted by UN member states as an annual day of ceasefire and non-violence in 2001. The day was set as September 21. The organisation is working towards a global truce on Peace Day 2012.
