Police are appealing for information following a robbery in which a staff member was injured at a BP petrol station in Leeds early on Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 5am, three men entered the BP Lyceum Service Station, in Cardigan Road, and assaulted one of the three male members of staff before taking a substantial amount of cash from the safe and tills.
The men, who were described as Asian, aged in their twenties and dressed in dark clothing, left the scene in a silver Toyota Yaris and drove off in the direction of Burley Road.
The injured member of staff was treated at Leeds General Infirmary and released. No weapons were seen during the incident.
Detective inspector Ian Lawrence, of Leeds District CID, said: "This was a frightening incident for the members of staff involved and I would appeal for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident to contact us."
