Top 50 Indie Symonds Forecourts Group has announced an increase in turnover in its annual results.
Turnover across the group has increased by 3.9% to £37m, with pre-tax profits up to £888,000, a year-on-year increase of 29%.
Managing director Nick Lloyd commented: “This has been another amazing year. We’ve had four consecutive years of record-breaking profitability for the group. It’s a very solid business, very solid sites and excellent growth.
“The primary aim for the group continues to be acquiring high-volume petrol forecourts with a strong shop offer.”
Lloyd also said the group had a very successful Christmas period with fuel sales up 9% year-on-year and shop sales up 6%.
Symonds Forecourts was ranked 35 in the Top 50 Indies for 2014 with nine sites, and in 2012 its Wells site won the Forecourt Trader of the Year Award.
