Rising fuel costs have seen Tesco and Barclays team up to offer customers using a Barclays debit card 5% cashback when purchasing petrol and diesel from Tesco filling stations – though the deal comes with stringent conditions.
Drivers with a Barclays account who spend between £5 and £200 on fuel at a Tesco forecourt will automatically be credited with cashback equal to 5% of their transaction, up to a maximum of £10 per calendar month, per customer. The offer runs from May 1 to July 31 July, and excludes Esso filling stations linked to Tesco stores.
Barclays commented: “We know everyday costs are adding up for many households so, in partnership with Tesco, we’re giving you something back on fuel.”
