Robert and Hugh Fraser took the top award at the glittering Forecourt Trader of the Year 2007 ceremony held at the London Hilton on September 20. Both having been individual winners of the award – Robert in 1997 and Hugh in 1998 – this is the first time in the history of the competition that the same person has won it twice.

The Fraser Group’s winning site is BP Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, which also won a string of awards including Best Car Care Outlet and Best Impulse Ice Cream. Another of the Fraser’s five sites – BP Georgetown in Didcot – won Best Customer Service.

Forecourt Trader editor Merril Boulton said: “Brize Norton has always been a winning site, and with the passing years it just keeps getting better. There’s an energy about the place that registers in its bright and clean presentation with so many categories addressed to perfection.

“There’s no keeping a good retailer down. Robert and Hugh have been winners before but they more than deserve to be winners again. They are constantly pushing the boundaries to maximise their business, but at the same time focusing on the daily details that make their stores – in particular Brize Norton – the best in the business.”
