Top 50 Indie MFG is looking to upgrade a Morrisons filling station in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, with a series of improvements.
The company, which operates around 1,220 forecourts, bought 337 Morrisons sites from the supermarket firm in early 2024 (though both MFG and Morrisons are majority owned by the same private-equity company), and within months of completing the deal had spent £40m upgrading the sites.
At the time, MFG was clear that its initial investment was only the first phase of improvements it had planned for its supermarket-forecourt portfolio, with valeting and EV charging set to be installed at the sites in due course.
The firm’s Mansfield Woodhouse project is one such example of this second investment round, with MFG planning to add two jet wash bays and six EV charging spots to the site.
A 957sq ft extension is also proposed for the forecourt shop, though the company has had to submit a series of amended plans to Mansfield District Council after the authority asked for clarification on the materials MFG is proposing to finish the shop extension with.
