Break-ins yesterday at two petrol stations - in Hillington and South Raynham - involving the theft of thousands of cigarettes, have been reported on the Eastern Daily Press news website.

The report said thieves forced their way through the door of Hillington Petrol Station and Post Office at 2.15am and stole a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the scene. Three men wearing hooded tops were seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the raid.

In the second incident, thought to be linked, at around 2.50am, offenders forced their way into South Raynham Service Station and again a quantity of cigarettes were taken. A small dark vehicle was seen in the area at the time of this theft.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should call Det Sgt Pete Jessop, at King’s Lynn CID, on 101.
