Fleet Services in Padstow, Cornwall, was recently given a starring role in an

episode of Top Gear.

The Jet forecourt was picked as a location after the three presenters faced a random challenge for the episode which was screened in July to build and drive their own motorhomes.

Led by Jeremy Clarkson, the trio faced a range of obstacles, from battling strong winds to changing into wetsuits inside the vehicles.

At the end of a long day they headed to Fleet Services to stock up for their next challenge preparing a three-course dinner in their motor- homes.

According to Jet, they weren’t able to find the food they wanted steak but they did manage to buy enough ingredients to cook up a feast back at the caravan site.

Retailer Michael Trenouth, pictured, said: "It was great fun having the presenters and crew here at the site. Lots of people in the area had heard about the filming before hand so we had quite a crowd on the day, but since then it’s become even more of a talking point.

"It’s created a real buzz among our customers but, even more bizarrely, lots of tourists are coming into the forecourt simply to be able to say that they’ve visited the ’Top Gear Garage’! It’s really put us on the map."
