AG Barr is seeking to develop the Rockstar brand with the introduction of a new Pineapple & Coconut variant to the Rockstar Freeze range.

“Energy is a hugely important category for retailers with more than 1 in 3 ‘Drink Now’ soft drinks purchased being an energy drink,” said Adrian Troy, head of marketing for AG Barr.

“Big Can flavoured energy continues to drive the category and within this Rockstar flavours are the star performers, growing by 27% in the last 2 years.”

The Rockstar Freeze range was launched in August 2015 and has sold nearly four million cans within the first six months.
