Unilever’s premium ice cream brand Breyers, which is ranked by Nielsen as the number one premium ice cream brand by value in the US, is launching in the UK.

The brand is seeking to tap into the growing health and wellness trend in the UK, with 350 calories or fewer per tub, while it is high in protein and, according to Neilsen, it is lower in sugar than similar ice cream products.

Four flavours – Vanilla, Cookies & Cream, Chocolate and Mint Chip – of Breyers Delights will be supported by an advertising investment across social, search, in-store and OOH advertising.

Amy Knowles, UK marketing manager for Breyers Ice Cream, said: “We know there is a demand out there from health-conscious consumers who want to limit their calorie intake, while also wanting to treat themselves.

“Breyers Delights is the perfect product for them, and also helps us to reach new consumers who may not have previously bought into the category.”
