Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) is launching a new bottled water brand – Glacéau Smartwater.

Available from August in 600ml and 850ml PET bottles at rrps of 57p and 89p respectively, it is made from British spring water, which is vapour distilled before electrolytes are added to give it a crisp, clean taste. CCE says research shows that consumers see Glacéau Smartwater as very different to current brands available.

The water was first launched in the US in 1996 and it is now the leading premium water brand there. Great Britain is the first market in Europe to have it.

Reflecting CCE’s ‘Made in GB’ commitment, it will be produced and bottled in Northumberland.
