MFG has had plans approved to make changes at its Illingworth site

MFG has been granted planning permission to go ahead with major changes at its Morrisons site in Illingworth, Halifax.

The permission, from Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council, is for the removal and replacement of the existing jet washes, alterations to the forecourt canopy and a single-storey extension to the shop.

The shop extension, for a separate food-to-go outlet, will use the space currently utilised by the jet washes with the new jet washes moved across the forecourt to where the propane tanks are now. There will also be four new parking spaces, new parcel lockers and a new outdoor launderette.

The canopy will be raised also separated from the shop building.

Meanwhile, a planning application is pending with the same council to make changes to MFG’s Morrisons forecourt in Jubilee Way, Elland. The Top 50 Indie wants to extend the shop and install two air wash and vac units. The extension will increase the internal floorspace from 100sq m to 183sq m and will house a Greggs.
