Arslan Shari, Moto’s new chief digital and information officer

Moto has appointed Arslan Sharif chief digital and information officer, as the motorway services operator looks at using artificial intelligence and other digital technologies to improve customer service.

Reporting to chief executive Ken McMeikan, Sharif joins on August 4. He has previously had roles in digital, technology, loyalty, data and AI at Pizza Express, Costa, British Gas and E.On.

“The next five years in retail and hospitality will be the most radical and transformative from a digital and technology perspective, with AI and data analytics revolutionising the customer experience,” says McMeikan.

“Our vision at Moto is to transform the UK’s rest stop experience, and I am enormously excited about the impact Arslan will make for Moto customers in the coming years.”
