Hoyer has entered into a long-term agreement with BP to provide bulk fuel transport and logistics services throughout the UK. The move is part of an overhaul of BP’s fuel storage, handling and transport services in the UK as it focuses on building "an industry-leading downstream business".
Hoyer will be responsibe for order taking, despatch, stock management, scheduling, , physical execution and reconciliation of all retail fuels in the UK as well as aviation fuels in Northern Ireland. In a letter to dealers BP said it expected the management of its fuel deliveries would be more flexible and there would be greater resilience to spikes in demand, supply/ industry disruption or other events outside of its control.
