Budgens Local senior business development manager Brett Corder has left the multiple to join Forecourt Trader of the year winners Jonathan and Rebecca James.
They have employed Brett as operations director with responsibility to oversee the management team at their three forecourts in Ely and Chatteris, and Budgens Local supermarket in Soham.
Jonathan said: “We want to strengthen our operations and make sure we are running efficiently and maximising all sales opportunities. Our forecourts are becoming supermarkets so we have to think that way and Brett has 25 years experience in the supermarket business. He will underpin all our
operations and we’re very excited about it.”
Brett has been working with the Jameses for 18 months and oversaw the development of their award-winning forecourt in Ely. He’s now working with the couple on a three-day a week secondment from Budgens before joining full time at the end of January.
With Brett on board, Jonathan will take on more of a development role.
