Two raids in which cigarettes were stolen from petrol stations in Derbyshire are being linked by police.
In the first incident, at about midnight on Monday, three burglars prised away metal sheets to get into the Esso service station in Uttoxeter Road, Foston.
They made their getaway, with a quantity of cigarettes, in a small, dark coloured vehicle, which police believe may have a been a Peugeot.
All three men are described as white, of medium build, and they wore dark or blue clothes.
In the second incident, at about 1am yesterday, the Total garage in Nottingham Road, Spondon, was broken into.
Police say a dark car pulled into the garage forecourt, three men got out, went to the shop and broke in through a door panel.
Officers say that the raiders wore beanie hats and bandannas.
Police are urging witnesses or anyone else with information to call them on 0345 123 3333, or they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
