Topaz, Ireland’s largest fuel and convenience retailer, has revealed that sales of its Fairtrade coffee have risen to five million cups a year.
The company, which has more than 330 service stations, has seen its coffee sales rise by 20% over the last two years as consumer confidence strengthens.
The figures were released at the launch of the company’s new Breakfast Campaign in Dublin. As well as radio advertising the campaign will also involve digital and social media platforms, including daily giveaways on Facebook.
Paul Candon, marketing and corporate services director, said the main purpose of the campaign was to make customers aware of the range of breakfast options now available at Topaz service stations.
He explained: “Enhancing the customer experience is what Topaz is all about and we want to create awareness of our excellent breakfast offering. Our Fairtrade coffee is hugely popular with our customers but we also offer an increasing range of top quality breakfast options to people on the move from 7am every morning. From jambons to fruit pots and sausage rolls to smoothies we have something for everyone.”
