Top 50 Indie Euro Garages is seeking planning permission for a service station and drive-thru restaurant on a site near the M25 at Cobham, in Surrey.
Euro Garages bought the site, a former restaurant near the Painshill Roundabout off the northbound A3, a year ago.
There is already planning permission to convert a former coach house on the site into a drive-thru restaurant and Euro Garages is seeking permission to demolish the main building and replace it with four petrol pumps (eight fuel lanes), a canopy, convenience store and food-to-go outlet. There would also be 41 customer parking spaces.
A planning statement by development consultant JLL with the application says: “The proposed would result in the development of an important previously developed gateway site into Elmbridge and London that has been underdeveloped for a number of years.
“It has been demonstrated that there are no known over-riding constraints which would be of sufficient weight to prevent development being brought forward on the planning application site.”
