Global-MSI has appointed Andy Kennedy as key account manager for its UK forecourt structures business, based in Doncaster.

Andy comes to Global-MSI with over 30 years’ experience in the petroleum forecourt industry. His career started as a pump service engineer with Gilbarco Veeder-Root in 1984, promoted to regional manager and culminating in the role of BP’s UK service manager with the BP Global Alliance.

Moving into sales, Andy has been key account manager at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Tokheim and most recently Combined Gas Systems. In his new position, Andy will be focusing particularly on the independent/dealer sector. In addition to the supply of new sales building structures and canopies, Global-MSI’s library of original petrol station drawings covering Global-MSI structures as well as previous suppliers to the industry, dating back to the mid-1960s is a significant benefit when customers consider repairs and maintenance.

Andy commented: “I have always been impressed with the professional operation and quality product supplied by Global-MSI. When the opportunity came along to join the commercial team of a market leader, it was a very easy decision to make. I look forward to the challenge of being involved in and learning about products new to me, but at the same time still able to deal with the many friends I have made in the industry over the years.”

Martin Steggles, managing director, Global-MSI, commented: “We welcome Andy to the team at Global-MSI. I know Andy from within the forecourt industry and through our links with the APEA (Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration), and we are delighted that Andy has joined us. From the feedback I have already received it is clear that Andy is a respected member of the forecourt community and that he will help strengthen our offer to contractors and the independent sector alike. ”
