Brian Madderson (pictured above) is been appointed as the new non-executive chairman of the Petrol

Retailers’ Association, with effect from November 1.

The current managing director of Dover-based George Hammond plc, Brian will retire from the company at the end of this month, before taking on his new role.

"I will reinforce the position of the PRA as the association for independent forecourt retailers," he said.
