The garage’s small kiosk shop and large vehicle workshop are separated only by a stud wall, according to the agents

A filling station in Cornwall that sells around 700,000 litres a of fuel a year despite limited opening hours and a six-day trading week has come on the market.

Moorview Garage sits on the A395 between the village of Davidstow and Launceston on a route that links Cornwall’s main arterial A30 and A39 roads.

The site comprises three pump islands and a small kiosk shop, which is adjoined by a large vehicle workshop that offers scope for retail expansion. At present the store does not offer food-to-go, bakery, alcohol or coffee provisions.

Before improvement works are considered, however, any potential purchaser is likely to want to expand the forecourt’s opening hours. At present, the site is only open from 07:30 to 19:00 hours during the week, closes at 13:00 on Saturdays and does not open at all on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The site is described as being “unopposed for a number of miles” by agent Charles Darrow, and is on the market for freehold purchase with a guide of £1.2m.
