Police in Barnstaple have arrested a man in connection with an arson attack at a Murco garage in Devon.

The arson attack took place at Fishleigh Rock Service Station, Umberleigh, north Devon, in the early hours of April 21.

After the attack police released CCTV images showing a man on the forecourt who filled a plastic bucket with cardboard and set light to it.

The footage was taken at 2.43am on April 21, and Devon and Cornwall Police asked for help from the public to identify the man.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a 25-year-old man from Ilfracombe, Devon, was arrested on suspicion of arson on 8 May and released on police bail until 8 July.
