Sainsbury’s is planning to open three new Sainsbury’s Local convenience stores and petrol stations, after it acquired the sites from Top 50 Indie Rontec.
Rontec will act as Sainsbury’’s development partner, and all three schemes have been granted planning permission.
The new convenience stores and petrol stations will be located on the sites of:
Parkham Service Station on New Road, Brixham, Devon;
Bebington Service Station, Kings Road, Wirral; and
Seven Acres Service Station, Pensby Road, Wirral.
Sainsbury’s says each new Sainsbury’s Local will create 20-25 new job opportunities for the local area.
Rontec was ranked fourth in the latest Top 50 Indies, published in February, with 209 sites. In February last year it sold 15 sites to Asda.
